Aramis hid in the shadows of an alleyway. His new body hadn’t fully healed yet and he was mildly un comfortable as it slowly regained his former appearance. He knew how recognizable he was but it would feel good to be in his own body once more.
However, the task currently at hand. Before he could do anything he needed money, and with his new body still weak after recovering from a traumatic death, an ambush would be best. No one had walked down this area the entire day. This was good, it meant fewer witnesses and bodies afterward.
Finally, movement from down the street. Gang type, possibly in possession of drugs and would definitely have a weapon. Aramis couldn’t have been more pleased. This type almost always considered themselves to be the top of the food chain, and wouldn’t realize they were beat until too late. Whatever ability the gangster had wouldn’t be a problem.
The guy never knew what hit him. Aramis grumbled a little at his own methods. It just wasn’t his preferred style, the stealth attack, but it did come in handy. After taking anything and everything of value from the now dead man, Aramis looked down at the body. He wouldn’t be missed.
Removing some of the procured cash Aramis proceeded to walk down to a coffee house, It would be a few more weeks before he was recognizable as him self and he wanted to take full advantage of that.

Ebony sighed heavily, slouching in her seat in a coffee house. She'd come to the city following a job, but the mark died of his own accord and now, she was without a job and without pay.
Staring down at her cold cup of tea, she pushed her long hair, brown today, out of her face and stood up. There was nothing to accomplish here, she didn't even know a single person in the city. One of the many draw backs to a long life, her acquaintances here died over 50 years before. She hadn't been to this side of the continent in so long, she saw no reason to even disguise herself, other than coloring her hair. Blondes of her color were rare in this city, and would attract attention.
On her way out of the door, she brushed past a man and bumped his shoulder. Turning to apologize, she met his eyes, and for one brief second, thought she knew him. But as he nodded and continued his journey, she brushed it off as too much thinking.
Ebony stepped out onto the street, and ignoring the hovers one could pay to get across town, she set off walking. She needed to find a cheap inn and find whoever was the head of the underground here. She couldn't leave until she got more money, Ebony told herself, even if it means staying awhile.

Aramis made his way into the coffee house and was promptly run into. The person seemed familiar somehow, but he could ponder that later after he had had his caffeinated drink. He nodded at her, acknowledging her presence and dismissing the incident. Immediately after she had passed he made a quick inventory of his current belongings, all were still there, the important ones anyway.
Ordering his drink, he set about making plans. He needed at least a moderate power base before his anonymity wore off and his appearance reasserted itself. He had enough money after that last stunt to hire a cheap mercenary to make faster progress. He would continue to make use of his ambushes, no matter what, in the current circumstances, as the punks had a large amount of things he could sell and through selling those things, he had reestablished many of his old contacts.
Aramis sipped his drink, taking a seat away from the windows with a good view of the doors, one couldn’t be too careful, and grimaced. The hot drink hurt his still healing throat. The body he had taken was a victim of a throat slitting, and although his taking of the body had healed it to a point of non-lethality, both sides of the cut were raw and sore.
Ignoring the pain in hopes of putting as much of the drink in him as possible before his body rebelled, he chugged the hot coffee down and let out a pained series of coughs. No one noticed him. Ah, the joys of coffee houses, so public, and by being so, entirely private. Aramis smiled to himself and went to work putting a notice on a public message board asking for a person willing to kill and do odd tasks for some cash.
Afterwards he went back to the numerous alleyways to ambush unsuspecting victims until his post was answered.

Ebony was tired, very very tired. She'd gone around the entire city, looking for a place to stay, but the only places cheap enough for her to afford were booked. So she found herself back at the coffee shop, hours later, glaring at a half eatten sandwich and a cup of coffee.
When she'd gotten back to the shop, she'd noticed a message board. One of the top notices was for a killer for hire. Perfect. There was no way of contacting the poster listed, only a general time slot. So, she'd waited at the shop, watching the board.
Here she found herself, sitting in the shop for hours and drinking cup after cup of coffee. But still no one had shown up. She sighed, this was stupid. She needed to get up and get going. But that required energy. Something she didn't have much of.

Aramis was congratulating himself as he walked back to the local coffee shop and the dealings that went on in it. He had managed to kill four more people in the hours since he posted his request and had accumulated quite a sum. The bodies he had left in sewers or other less appealing places. No one would discover them until rot set in, and perhaps not even then.
He had already pawned off the less useful goods and stowed away all valuable items in a few secret holes only he knew about. The one who had shown him, who had used them previously, was now residing in a sewer somewhere, being eaten by rats. Aramis was quite sure his items were safe.
Entering the shop, he checked the time. He was well within the hours he had specified, perhaps a little on the later side. It wasn’t as if he had any place to stay that he wanted discovered, so the local coffee shop had seemed the best place. They were especially good because one could talk about anything in one and no one would really listen.
He eyed the tables, going up to the counter and ordering a cup of coffee. The place wasn’t very clean, he noticed, but it hadn’t bothered him before and it was in the poorer side of town. Spying a familiar figure, he noticed the person who had bumped into him earlier sitting alone at a table looking bored.
Aramis figured that she was the most likely patron who would be answering his message, as most of the others were engrossed in discussion with each other. He went over to the board and removed his flyer. If this person wasn’t answering it he could always put it back up again tomorrow.
He sat at a table nearby and sipped his coffee, the healing wound on his neck visible with every sip he took. The pain from it still lingered, and flared with the hot liquid running down the internal side. Aramis coughed slightly at the pain and waited, watching from the corner of his eye, for any response.
