Why is every person who has ever taken any kind of japanese class MUST use japanese words all the time? ? Just because I take Latin doesn't mean I run around nameing my charaters/self ceteri or sanquis (oh, wait, I did that, but it doesn't count.... it was only a gundam. and I was in 8th grade.) But, the point is it is VERY ANNOYING when people randomly use japanese words. Especally in a world where THERE IS NO JAPAN OR JAPANESE CULTURE/LANGUAGE. So please, to all you japanese freaks out there. Stop, for the love of all things holy, at least cut it down a bit. And the annoying anime-ish characters. Dont be suprised if Ebony trys to destroy them. She doesn't like them at all.

hehehe....This 'annoying fact' is never going to just 'go away'. Either get a thicker skin or try not to hang around people who say japanese words randomly. I do it to learn and remember the words. Why did YOU say latin words in 8th grade? Probably for a totally different reason,but was anyone annoyed by it? Did you really CARE? I'm guessing you didn't. Why should people who enjoy sayin or doing something stop on the whim of another? They shouldn't have to,especially if it's not harming anyone. Driving somebody insane doesn't count. That is the end of my rant. This is strictly my opinion,and i don't care to be questioned. I will ignore them because..just because.. [ok, I'm really done now!]

Well, sensei said people right notes in japanese cause they feel it's some 'secret code' XD At cons and stuff people use those words all the time ^^ I am one of the few who dont use japanese words unless I know for a fact that person knows what I'm saying ^^; I feel it is rude to have someone not knowing what you're talking about. (Knows from experence, friends from canada speek french and leave me out of conversations....) and I hate being ask or asking myself 'what does that mean?' But don't be mean to them.....they are only human XD

Using japanese words is well and good, but I think what she is trying to convey is that you should stop naming your characters after japanese words. I have a lot of sites for names, and all japanese names tends to get stale.
She is just sick of seeing japanese words in the roleplay where there is no japan. Sure there could be cultures and languages similar, but the entire concept is just so clishe...
Anyway, I don't mind to much as long as it stays in a minor and controled state. And if you need the name sites just ask.

And for that, I thank you Kakashi. I can understand using it in notes and things, or at cons, where more people will understand you. This 'annoying fact' is never going to just 'go away'. In 8th grade, I used latin words in stories, namely giving a Gudam the name Sanguis, meaning blood. And as to getting a thicke skin, I would say mine is pretty d**n thick. I've put up with it for a very long long long time. I don't mind you useing it at school and such, because I can under stand repeating it for learnings sake. Often I will use salve and vale before a convention, because the people at a latin convetion will use them to say hello and good-bye. However, there are those people who will use various japanese curse words to get out of actually saying the english word. And to sound cool. Words don't harm someone, however, many people can be offended by the use of them, assuming that you are making fun of them. Just because I can swear in two languages doesn't mean I should. side note/edit Thank you for rewording me Q. it's more clear when you explain it.

Yes. Very very true. I was ranting.LOL I meant no harm and I know that just because you can,doesn't mean that you SHOULD.I understand these concepts and had decided to play the 'typical naive lil freshman'..fufufu..can you see where im going with this?I like to abuse my priveledges of stupidity, being oblivious..most of all..YOUNG and INEXPERIANCED.This is true(and fun!). At times its nice to be able to fall back on these stereo types,and relax...So if I ever am acting a little less knowledgeable, just remember,I mostly dont mean it!(sometimes!)

dont mince skool and The Board MP..these are totally different things. On the board it isn't fair at all because we can't always explain immediately what we mean and it looks really mean to just use words so others can't understand. However, in skool we have the opportunity to explain right then and there, provided you listen and we aren't rushed off or spontaneously combust or spaz out or fall over dead, or whip out a book and start reading or...or...or..something...LOL..what was I trying to say? Ah, well, i suppose you get it what ever i was ranting about...^_^;;;
